About Me
Hello, my name is Sarah Homer and I'm a writer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors of Art in English. I love reading a mix of books, any genre from postmodernism to fantasy. My experience in writing encompasses creative stories, argumentative essays, marketing campaigns that require design and preparation, and interactive storytelling. After completing my bachelor's degree, I decided to combine my goal of writing immersive stories with working in a group of creative and driven people, which led me to game design.
I grew up playing video games and have always loved their stories and worldbuilding. My passion for the art of active storytelling that can only be accomplished through a game's unique ability to play through its narrative is what led me to this career path. Some of my favorite narrative games are Mass Effect, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Horizon Zero Dawn, and What Remains of Edith Finch.
When I'm not playing video games or reading, I love to travel to new places. I spent my last undergraduate summer semester studying British Literature in England. Last year, I crossed off spending some time in Japan off my bucket list and hope to one day visit Greece.
My corgi puppy, Yoshi, keeps me company when I'm not exploring new places. He's attached at my hip, and his favorite time of day is when I get home and we can take a walk together.
